Pallet replacement

Paper Slip Sheet for Palletless Export Handling

Kraft board from 0.6 to 3.0 mm, cut to your cargo footprint with a gripper lip on one or more sides. The cargo travels directly on the sheet, so the wooden pallet leaves the shipment entirely.

Paper Slip Sheet for Palletless Export Handling
Paper slip sheet — flat kraft board with gripper lip

Definition

A paper slip sheet is a one-piece flat kraft board sheet used in place of a wooden pallet, gripped by a forklift push-pull attachment so cargo can be moved without a pallet underneath.

Applications

Where It Is Used

Bagged chemicals and fertilizer

A flat sheet under the bag layer lets the attachment move a whole tier without a pallet.

Grain and animal feed sacks

Keeps sack loads square through warehouse handling and container stuffing.

Food industry cartons

For food and beverage packaging applications, material and documentation requirements should be confirmed according to the intended use and destination market.

Building materials

Tiles, boards and cement bags handled without timber underneath.

Bulk bags and FIBC

A flat base for jumbo bags during push-pull handling.

General export cartons

Removes conventional pallet height and may improve container utilization depending on the cargo dimensions and loading plan.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a paper slip sheet used for?
It replaces the wooden pallet under a unit load. A forklift push-pull attachment grips the lip, pulls the load onto its platen, and pushes it off at the destination — so the cargo never needs a pallet.
Do I need special equipment to use it?
Yes. A slip sheet only works with a forklift push-pull attachment. If your warehouse or your customer's warehouse does not have one, a slip sheet is not the right product for that lane.
Does it remove wooden packaging from my shipment?
A paper slip sheet contains no solid wood, so it is a wood-free export option. Whether your shipment as a whole is free of wood packaging depends on your full packing configuration and destination requirements — confirm both before relying on it.
How thick should the sheet be?
Thickness cannot be selected from load weight alone. Cargo footprint, bottom packaging, sheet dimensions, pull-tab design, equipment, humidity and handling frequency should also be considered. Available thickness: 0.6–3.0 mm.
How many lips do I need?
One lip if the load is always pulled from the same side. Two or four lips give you more freedom in how the load is approached, at slightly higher material cost.
Can the sheet be reused?
Paper slip sheets are usually single-trip in export use. For a closed-loop system where sheets return, an HDPE plastic slip sheet is normally the better choice.
