Is an anti-slip sheet the same as a slip sheet?

No, and the names are misleading. An anti-slip sheet increases friction between cargo layers and stays on the pallet. A slip sheet replaces the pallet and is pulled by a forklift attachment. They do opposite jobs.

Where exactly does it go?

Between layers of cargo on the pallet — for example between the second and third tier of cartons — and often one sheet directly on the pallet deck as the base layer.

Which basis weight do I need?

Grammage describes the basis weight of the paper, not load capacity or friction by itself. The suitable construction depends on the package surfaces, placement position, humidity, layer pattern and handling conditions.

Can I stop using stretch film?

Anti-slip paper can be used together with stretch film or strapping. Any reduction in unitization material should be validated against the complete pallet load.

Is it coated on one side or both?

Both options are produced. One-sided coating is normal where the sheet sits on a pallet deck; two-sided is used between two cargo layers.

Is it recyclable?

Paper-based and potentially recyclable where accepted by local recycling facilities.
