Packaging for Food and Beverage Loads
A tier sheet gives every layer a level base and stops the upper containers resting on the caps below. Anti-slip sheets add the friction that bottles and cans do not provide against each other.

The problem
Bottled and canned goods present smooth, uneven top surfaces, so each layer needs a flat base to sit on and the stack needs friction between tiers to survive road and sea transport.
What matters here
Specification Points for This Cargo
Uneven layer tops
Bottle caps and can rims make a poor base for the next tier. A solid laminated sheet levels the interface.
Cold-chain conditions
Humidity in chilled storage softens ordinary board. Moisture-resistant grades are specified where the load will be cold or damp.
Food-contact requirements
Where the sheet may contact product directly, food-contact suitability must be confirmed by certificate before use — we do not assert it by default.
Ventilated produce cartons
Corner protectors keep ventilated boxes holding their stacking strength when they are strapped and stacked.
Specification
Typical Specification for This Cargo
A starting point, not a fixed answer. Final values are confirmed against your own load before quotation.
| Item | Guidance for this cargo |
|---|---|
| Typical sheet size | Cut to the pallet footprint so the sheet edge sits flush with the layer below and does not catch on handling equipment. |
| Thickness | 1 mm for light cartons; 2–3 mm where a full tier of filled bottles or cans rests on the sheet. |
| Corner style | Round corners can help reduce snagging on stretch film and automated handling equipment. |
| Moisture resistance | Specify a treated grade where the load goes into chilled or humid storage; untreated board softens. |
| What to send us | Container type and fill weight, units per layer, layer count, pallet size, and whether the load is chilled. |
